I thought it was about time I changed my pictures on the blog.

Our new trailer. It's a Jay Flight G2 31-BHDS. Notice we only have one door on this one. Unlike our last one where we had 2 doors. Kitchen is in the middle this time instead of up front. I'm sorry but some of the pictures will not enlarge when you click on them. Had some problems downloading them.

Spring Break for Miss Brandi

Brandi spent 5 days with us during her springbreak. We had sooo much fun and we even got to do some field trips like the Zoo in South Carolina.

We arrived just at feeding time for the gorillas.

He then decided to come over to the window to have a closer look at the funny people looking in the window at him.

Next thing you know he and Brandi were nose to nose.

Brandi was really excited to ride a pony.

Brandi had a fun time visiting the Charlotte Nature center.

It hit a high of 86 degrees here today. Everyone is walking around in shorts and sandals.
The trees are flowering and the spring flowers are blooming. Sorry no pictures as I packed my camera.

Well as usual, the weather man said we would get a whole lot more, but it looks like we, down here in Waxhaw, only got about 1-2 inches. In fact, it's starting to melt already. I'm sure you all in IA and AK are laughing about how little we got. BUT, you can tell you're in the SOUTH, when you see one snowflake fall and they close the schools. =)

HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY BOB

Well, traditional dad/Bob is branching out these days with a pie for his birthday instead of his usual cake. Today we are having lemon meringue pie. The meringue has about 7 egg whites piled high. He recieved a special happy birthday song from Addie and Laura, thanks to Chris who put it on youtube.

The BIG excitement for the day was SNOW! I think we got about 2 or 3 inches. But by evening much of it has already melted.

Miss Brandi turned 7 and Faith made her a Flip Flop cake. Brandi likes to be called by her nickname which is, Flip Flop.

A quick trip to Dollywood, TN

This was our first time to visit Dollywood. We have been to Pigeon Forge and all around this area before, but never here at the park. It wasn't to cold or real crowded. We had a lot of fun going on the new Imagination in motion Polar Express ride in 3 D. At night they had a show where the trees changed color with the music.
I took this duck picture for Laura and Addie/OK so it's NOT a duck,maybe it's a rocking horse.

The light display was beautiful. They used all LED lights.

Brandi and I spent most of today, Friday, putting together a gingerbread house. Boy was it messy. She did a really good job!

Sure hope her dad doesn't inspect it as I'm sure it's not structurally safe.

WA is putting a new roof on and they are now overhead. They are using metal shingles that have the same look as regular shingles. The one difference is, when they drop the bundles on the roof, it sounds like they dropped a bomb! The noise is unreal! (Don't forget to click on the picture)

A FUN DAY IN WAXHAW

We went to see Barn Full of Quilts, in Waxhaw, and found these beautiful lama's there. Dad found a friend that day too. =}

This lama was my favorite. She was sooo soft compared to the black one.

So while we were in the big town of Waxhaw, we stayed to watch the re-enactment of, the raid on Wilson's store.

Welcome back to the parents

On Monday, we traveled back to Conover so as to be there bright and early on Tuesday for Bob's doctor appointment. When we arrived at our trailer, Faith had it all decorated for fall. It looked beautiful! Of course it looked more beautiful because Faith scrubbed it from top to bottom with a toothbrush. Great job! THANKS FAITH and ERNIE!
